Sprouted Jowar Idly/Upma Rava
Our sprouted Jowar rava is made by coarsely grounding the sprouted Jowar millet with a patented technology, where the millets are initially washed, soaked, sprouted, dried, roasted and then processed to coarser rava which is light yellow in colour and with a mild sweet flavour. Due to sprouting there is a reduction of anti nutrients and hence the nutrient profile of this rava is enhanced with increased bio-availability. This Jowar rava is rich in protein, fiber, Iron, calcium. This rava is completely gluten free with low GI which makes an ideal choice of diet for diabetics and further good option for people to lower their cholesterol levels.
Sprouted Jowar Millet
1. Cleaning: The whole millet grains are first cleaned to remove any impurities.
2. Dehulling: The outer layer of the millet grains, known as the hull or husk, is removed using a dehulling machine.
3. Soaking: The cleaned millets are soaked in water to reduce the anti-nutrients.
4. Sprouting: The soaked millets are germinated under proper conditions. (This process involved is what makes Good Health Millet rava unique, that is patented and recognized for its imperative nutritional profile).
5. Drying and roasting: The sprouted millets are solar-dried and gently roasted in uruli.
6. Grinding: The millets are coarsely ground.
7. Roasting: The millet rava are then roasted to reduce their moisture content and improve their shelf life.
