Cleaning and sorting: The cow peas are carefully sorted and cleaned.
Soaking: The sorted cow peas are soaked for 8to 10 hours with intermittent rinsing to avoid fermentation. Soaking activates germination process.
Sprout Activating: After soaking, The legumes are drained and placed in perforated drums under controlled conditions to trigger sprout activation.
Drying: The sprout activated dal is dried using solar low temperature drying method.
Splitting and sorting: The dried cow peas are splitted and sorted to remove any loosened skins of the dal or damaged grains further in aspirator machine.
