Sprout Activated | Improved Nutritional Profile | Better Nutrient Bioavailability
The Good Health Sprout Activated Foxtail Millet (Korralu) is prepared through a carefully controlled process of cleaning, washing, soaking, germination and low temperature drying. The millet is soaked, allowed to sprout until the desired stage and then dried to stop further germination. This preparation gives the millet its distinctive character while making it convenient for everyday cooking, with no separate soaking required before use.
Why Sprout Activation?
Sprouting begins with soaking the Foxtail Millet and allowing it to germinate in a controlled warm and moist environment. This process activates enzymes and can help reduce certain naturally occurring antinutritional factors, contributing to an improved nutritional profile and better availability of certain nutrients. Once the desired sprouting stage is reached, the millet is dried at low temperature to stop further germination and prepare it for convenient everyday use.
Our Sprout Activation Process
The Foxtail Millet grains are thoroughly cleaned and washed, then soaked in water with lime juice or papain from raw papaya. After rinsing and dehusking, the grains undergo a second soak before being drained and allowed to sprout in a controlled warm and moist environment. Once the desired sprouting stage is reached, the process is stopped and the millet is dried at low temperature for convenient use.
Simply Rinse & Use
No Separate Soaking Needed
The soaking and sprouting stages have already been completed, so simply rinse the millet and use it according to your preferred recipe.
